What is the best time for Newborn Photoshoot ?
A newborn baby photoshoot is a beautiful way to celebrate your baby’s early days. My sessions are thoughtfully designed to capture your baby’s innocence through creative themes and unique poses, ensuring you have timeless memories to cherish forever.
Important: The ideal time to schedule a newborn photoshoot is as soon as your baby is born. Please contact me immediately to check slot availability, so I can reserve a session for you in advance.
Newborn photoshoots are best done when the baby is between 10 to 25 days old, as this is the perfect window to capture those sleepy, curled-up poses.
Kindly note, if you reach out when your baby is already 20–30 days old, it may not be possible to arrange an urgent session due to my fully pre-booked schedule. All photoshoots are planned in advance, and availability is limited.
Let’s ensure we don’t miss this precious phase—get in touch early!
During this period, babies are naturally more curled up and sleepy, making it easier to pose them comfortably. However, in some cases, the photoshoot can be extended to up to 30-32 days, provided the baby weighs between 2.9 to 4 kg.
For this age group, I have an exquisite collection of dresses and wraps designed to enhance the beauty of the session, ensuring your little one looks adorable and feels comfortable.
If your baby is older, between 1 to 3 months, please read my dedicated blog to understand how the photoshoot experience changes with age: Newborn Photoshoots from 10 Days to 3 Months.
What If Your Baby Is Already 40 to 70 Days Old?
Many parents worry that they have missed the newborn photoshoot window because their baby is already 2 to 3 months old. While the first few weeks are ideal for classic curled-up newborn poses, I assure you that it is still possible to capture beautiful, heartwarming memories of your baby—just in a slightly different way.
How Do Photoshoots Differ for Babies Over 40 Days?
As babies grow, their alertness, expressions, and responsiveness change significantly. Babies in this age range:
- Stay awake longer and are more aware of their surroundings.
- React more to touch and need extra soothing for posed shots.
- Have stronger muscles and increased weight, making some newborn-style poses trickier.
- Are more expressive, allowing us to capture smiles, eye contact, and curiosity.
Because of these developmental changes, I use specialized wraps, themes, and styling to ensure your baby remains comfortable while creating a stress-free session. While extra time and patience are required, I have years of experience working with older babies and offer a variety of beautiful wraps, outfits, and props tailored for babies up to 3 months old.
Why Booking in Advance is Important?
Booking early secures your preferred date and allows me to tailor the session to your baby’s unique needs. It also gives us time to discuss themes, colors, outfits, and styling for a personalized experience.
If you missed the newborn stage, don’t worry—I’m here to create stunning portraits of your baby at every milestone! Contact me today to book your session.

Understanding the Process
A newborn photoshoot is unique and requires expertise, patience, and preparation:
Baby Safety & Hygiene:
- How Important is Baby Baby Safety & Hygiene in a Newborn Photoshoot?
Your baby’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I use the latest technology and equipment to deliver high-quality photos while maintaining the highest hygiene standards. All fabrics, props, and wraps are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after each session to ensure a safe environment for your baby.
Baby safety is the highest priority in every newborn photoshoot. Parents often request creative poses with props, which can be challenging and require careful handling. My years of experience and high-alert skills ensure the baby remains comfortable and secure throughout the session. I stay 100% focused, as newborns can wake or move unexpectedly, especially when posed on sofas, beds, or in baskets. Constant vigilance allows me to capture stunning moments while prioritizing the baby’s safety at all times. With years of experience, I ensure a calm and safe environment for your baby throughout the session.
Additionally, I provide parent counseling before the session to help parents understand the process, ensuring their baby remains calm and cooperative. This guidance covers essential tips for preparation and expectations, contributing to a smoother and safer experience.
Common Safety and Hygiene Measures
Ensuring the safety and hygiene of your baby is a top priority throughout the session. I use high-quality equipment and carefully curated props that are cleaned and sanitized after each use. With my extensive experience, I handle babies with the utmost care, following strict safety protocols to avoid any discomfort. I guide parents through the process, offering valuable tips and instructions to create a relaxed atmosphere. Whether it’s posing the baby securely or selecting the right themes, every aspect is managed with precision and care.Parent Counseling:
Parent counseling is possible if they have any further questions or wants to ensure a smooth and successful newborn photoshoot. It helps address parents’ concerns, especially for new moms and dads, by guiding them through the entire process both before and during the session. This builds trust, eases any anxiety, and sets clear expectations about the workflow, including breaks for feeding or soothing the baby.By making parents feel comfortable and confident, counseling creates a relaxed atmosphere, allowing the session to be enjoyable for both the family and the baby.Focus on the Baby: Why the Extended Family Is Not Included in a Newborn Photoshoot
A newborn photoshoot is a delicate and carefully curated session, designed specifically for the baby and their parents. These sessions are about capturing the pure, early moments of your baby’s life in a calm, focused, and stress-free environment that prioritizes your little one’s comfort, feeding, and soothing needs.
To maintain this peaceful atmosphere, extended family members, including grandparents, are not part of the newborn session. However, if you’d like to include them in portraits, you’re welcome to schedule a separate family session dedicated to those special generational memories.
Including Siblings in the Session
If your newborn has elder siblings and you’d like to include them in the shoot, you can add an extra 30 minutes (35€) to the newborn session. Young children often need a little more time to settle in and get comfortable in front of the camera. This additional time helps us gently guide them into the frame and capture warm, natural sibling and family moments without rushing.
You’re also welcome to include parents and siblings together—either at the beginning or end of the newborn session. Just let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly and ensure a smooth experience for everyone.
Important to Know
For the comfort and safety of the baby, only the newborn and their parents are present during the 4-hour session. We do not invite other family members during this time to ensure a relaxed, distraction-free environment, allowing us to fully focus on your baby’s needs and capture the most precious moments.
That said, I’m always open to discussing your ideas or preferences. If you’d like to talk further about personalizing your session, feel free to reach out—I’d be happy to connect with you!
